Breaking News: Bipartisan bill would realign U.S. dollar to eliminate trade deficit

We Will No Longer Allow the U.S. Dollar to be Weaponized Against America’s Heartland
By Jeff Ferry

Bipartisan bill would realign U.S. dollar to eliminate trade deficit

The Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA) today offered its highest possible support and endorsement of the new, bipartisan Competitive Dollar for Jobs and Prosperity Act (CDJPA) introduced by Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Josh Hawley (R-MO). The bill would require the Federal Reserve to achieve and maintain balanced trade for the United States through management of the U.S. dollar’s exchange rate.

Domestic producers have long considered an overvalued dollar to be a major impediment to U.S. trade competitiveness. The CDJPA provides the Fed with new tools to carry out its mandate, including the ability to directly counter foreign currency manipulation. The bill also establishes a market access charge (MAC) which would strategically slow the destructive flood of foreign capital currently driving the dollar’s value to noncompetitive levels.

“This is a groundbreaking piece of legislation to realign the dollar - and should be considered priority number one for domestic producers,” said CPA Chair Dan DiMicco. “Dollar misalignment is the key obstacle to America’s manufacturing competitiveness. The past several decades have shown that large foreign capital inflows from central banks and hedge funds are weaponizing the U.S. dollar against American goods, services, and labor. We congratulate Senators Baldwin and Hawley for their bold leadership in filing this important bill, and we look forward to getting it to the president’s desk.”

A wide array of economists have consistently assessed the US dollar as being overvalued by up to 30 percent. In 2007, former Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke identified the prime driver of this currency misalignment - a “global savings glut.” America’s financial markets continue to absorb this toxic glut, which is driving up the dollar’s value.

In February, our research team studied the impact of currency misalignment and found that adjusting the dollar’s value by 27 percent in a linear fashion would lead to 12 percent average annual growth in manufacturing exports over a five-year period. It would also balance trade in that time and create an additional 5.2 million U.S. jobs. Additionally, it would place helpful upward pressure on prices for U.S. soybeans, corn, beef, and milk.

This is a big deal, and we congratulate Senators Baldwin and Hawley for their intelligence and vision. A realigned dollar is the most important tool available to spur growth and job creation in the U.S. economy. Their bill takes a major stand for working families and says that we will no longer allow the U.S. dollar to be weaponized against America’s Heartland. It’s time to fundamentally change how we view the dollar.

Tide of Multinationals Leaving China Turns into a Flood
By Jeff Ferry

It took 20 years for China to disrupt global supply chains and build up the world’s largest manufacturing base. In the process, they decimated U.S. manufacturing sectors like computers, telecommunications, and furniture. It seems to be taking just two years for China’s manufacturing dominance to crumble before our eyes. The trickle of departures of large manufacturing companies from China that began last year after the imposition of Trump administration tariffs is turning into a flood. That’s according to Chinese and other Asian news publications, which are using words like “exodus” and talking about multinationals once reliant on China “abandoning ship.” [more...]

Trump Made it "IN" to be Genu-ine
By Karen Kataline

The latest chant by the left that President Donald Trump is a “Racist!” is because he tweeted that Rep. Elijah Cummings’ district in Baltimore is “a disgusting, rat and rodent-infested mess.” Trump chose Cummings as a target after months of feigned moral outrage by Cummings and the collectivist left that conditions at ICE detention centers are deplorable and just like concentration camps. The legacy media accepts as fact that Trump is a racist and expects us to believe as well, that it is racist to criticize any Democrat who happens to be black. That rule never applies to black Republicans. Punishment for violating their rule is most severe especially when the criticism is blatantly obvious and glaringly true. [more...]

Can the Three-Headed Democratic Party Win?
By Lowell Ponte

The Democratic Party is not one party but three; these three "heads" of the Democratic Party are very different. The three are divided by a fatal internal contradiction, which is why the party is afraid to debate on Fox News and risk having its Achilles heel exposed. Leftist Democrats are now obsessed with calling President Donald Trump a "racist," but they define racist as any white who disagrees for any reason with a person of color. This means that when a white from the leftist wing of the Democratic Party denounces jobs or tax cuts produced by President Trump, that leftist is also attacking people of color in the moderate Third Democratic Party. Democrats in 2020 probably cannot win by shouting "racist" at all opponents, even Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi; they cannot win by pushing Trump's impeachment; and they cannot win on extreme issues the left is forcing even "moderate" Democratic candidates to take. The Separation of Church and Search
By James Hirsen

Google has been busy of late laying down a track record of bias against conservative, pro-life, and Christian content. Credible reports indicate that the tech giant has been manipulating searches on the part of participant users to facilitate end results that favor liberal outcomes and simultaneously suppress conservative content. Google, via YouTube, has removed videos of Prager U, and Live Action and demonetized YouTuber Steven Crowder’s channel as well as Dr. Michael Brown’s Christian ministry, among others. [more...]

Nationalism and Idealism at the Border
By Daniel Greenfield

The Border Patrol is to the millennial lefty what the Marines in Vietnam were to his grandpa. The problem with both is not that they wear uniforms and carry guns. A heavily armed force dedicated to policing carbon emissions, hate speech, and non-biodegradable straws would be entirely copacetic. The trouble is that the Border Patrol and the Marine Corps are nationalistic forces. And nationalistic forces are the wrong kind of forces because they exist to secure the physical existence of America. [more...]

The Secret Agenda of Muslim Community Patrol Cars

The Christian Action Network has released a shocking report exposing the secret agenda behind the controversial Muslim Community Patrol Cars policing the streets of New York City.

With the aid of confidential informants, the report divulges several alarming facts behind the newly created Muslim Community Patrol & Services (MCP&S), which began launching patrol cars in New York City last November.

The report, which is authored by Martin Mawyer of Christian Action Network and Ryan Mauro of the Clarion Project, reveals:

1.  MCP&S officers plan to enforce Sharia law on both Muslim and non-Muslim citizens in New York City.

2.  Organizers plan to expand their modest fleet of three Muslim Patrol Cars to seven by the end of summer 2019, with the goal of reaching 30 cars in the near future.

3.  The individual responsible for deploying MCP&S cars is Siraj Wahhaj, who has documented links to terrorist operatives and who has called for America’s destruction.

4.  The individual responsible for hiring MCP&S officers is Ali Mustapha, who has twice been arrested for murder and convicted once.

5.  The son and two daughters of Siraj Wahhaj were arrested last May on federal terrorism charges for engaging in “a conspiracy to stage deadly attacks on American soil.”

6.  The 72nd Precinct of New York Police Department is training MCP&S officers in both self-defense and suspect-restraining techniques.

7.  MCP&S is seeking to employ off-duty NYPD Muslim policemen so their officers can carry weapons and have the power to arrest citizens.

The 16-page report, titled The Secret Agenda of New York City’s Muslim Community Patrol Cars is being delivered to all New York’s city council members, police precincts and state legislators, including the state’s governor, the city’s mayor and the borough presidents.

“America, especially those in New York, needs to know about the terrorist links to MCP&S and that a convicted murderer is recruiting its officers,” said Martin Mawyer, president of Christian Action Network. [more...]

Mueller Hearing Finally Exposes the Sham of the Mueller Investigation

By Karen Kataline

Q: “Mr. Mueller, how many times did you speak with Rod Rosenstein?”
A: “Who’s Rod Rosenstein?”

I only partially jest, but do you know that feeling when you think you’ve finally cornered someone and then you find out that it is you who have been cornered?  Neither have I, but a whole bunch of Democrats probably had that feeling yesterday watching the Mueller hearings before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees.

The hearing was given wall-to-wall coverage by the legacy media. After all the assiduous avoidance of key facts and information on the three-year soap opera of the “Trump-Russia-Collusion” story, I have a feeling this isn’t how they wanted that information to come out. [more...]

Can the Epstein Scandal Harm the Stock Market?
By Crista Huff

...And Could it Hurt Your Investment Portfolio. What could the Jeffrey Epstein scandal possibly have to do with your portfolio? Hopefully nothing at all. But sometimes big scandals have a way of touching the stock market in ways you might not expect... In recent years, you’ve read my warnings to investors about General Electric (GE) in 2017 and 2018, and Boeing (BA) in 2019. After more than a year of urging investors to sell General Electric (GE) stock due to continuous corporate problems, I went neutral on the GE share price in the December 2018 issue of my Cabot Undervalued Stocks Advisor, saying, “If I were previously playing with put options and short-selling, I’d rein in my positions now.” [more...]

Will Mideast War Engulf the U.S.?
By Lowell Ponte

Many fear a shooting war might soon ignite in the Persian Gulf and shut down its 21-mile-wide Strait of Hormuz, through which daily ships roughly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply, about 21 million barrels. Iran controls the eastern side of this “jugular vein” of the oil-dependent global economy. As President Trump’s sanctions to stop Iran’s nuclear weapons program have devastated the rogue nation’s oil-based economy, it has engaged in increasingly provocative actions. President Trump seems reluctant to go to war with Iran, but he is sending troops to bolster Saudi Arabia. The Saudi agreement in 1971 to accept only U.S. dollars for its oil - if we promised to defend them with American blood - is what kept our dollar the world reserve currency after President Richard Nixon cut the dollar's last anchor to gold. Our economy may depend on whether war happens in the Persian Gulf. [more...]

Recall Fever to Democrat Governors
By Karen Kataline

Six months after Colorado Gov. Jared Polis was inaugurated and on the first day allowable by law, a group called Dismiss Polis filed a petition to recall him. The secretary of state’s office approved the petition at the end of that day. Also, at the six-month mark of her second term, the Oregon GOP filed a petition to recall Gov. Kate Brown. Meanwhile, there has been serious talk of recalling Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and California Gov. Gavin Newsom, although recall petitions have not yet been filed in those states. [more...]

Liberal Rants Aren't Silencing 'Lion King's' Box-Office Roar
By James Hirsen

Editors at the Washington Post recently made the inane decision to publish the radical ramblings of Dan Hassler-Forest, assistant professor in the Media Studies Department of Utrecht University, which is located in the Netherlands. In an entertainment world that produces excessively violent, sexually aggressive, and politically correct product to the max, Hassler- Forest makes the nonsensical assertion that the plot line of Disney’s current iteration of “The Lion King” is a fable that is riddled with fascist ideology. What to Expect from the Mueller Hearing
By James Davidson, Former FBI Agent & President of ProtectTheFBI.org

How should you apply critical thinking when watching and drawing conclusions from Robert Mueller's upcoming testimony in front of the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees? As a former FBI agent of 23 years, I can tell you: I don’t expect many bombshells from Mueller's testimony. Mueller is a man who says what he will do, and then does it; it's his most admirable trait. He's been clear about what he will and will not talk about, at least publicly, in front of Congress. He will talk about what is already in his report, including Trump’s alleged obstruction. He won’t say what he thinks of how Attorney General William Barr handled the report’s roll-out or anything else not in the report’s 500 or so pages; and, he certainly will not disclose whether he thinks obstruction could or should have been charged had the president been a private citizen. But I know a different side of Mueller - the one that suffers from the same Achilles Heel of law enforcement that James Comey suffered from. That is, a Mueller who believes in the supremacy of his own judgment. [more...]

Why Do Leftists Define Bigotry for Everyone Else While Ignoring it in Their Own Ranks?
By Karen Kataline

It looks like the split in the Democrat Party is only skin color deep. Just because Democrats disagree with one another about how honest they should be about their socialist ideas doesn’t mean they don’t still have socialist ideas. They disagree on the approach, not the policies. So long as they are attacking President Trump as a “racist” and with all the other “isms” and “phobes,” they’re unified. They have shown that they don’t care at all about the genuine bigots in their own ranks. [more...]

Epstein Case Cloaked in Mystery
By James Hirsen

The mystery entangling the main protagonist in the Jeffrey Epstein drama is no doubt more vast and intricate than mainstream media sources would have us believe. Allegations against the multi-millionaire are monstrous. Scores of sexual abuse offenses involving young women are alleged to have taken place between the years 2002 and 2005. The evidence gathered by the Palm Beach police, which began in 2005, was reportedly massive in quantity. However, Democrat prosecutor Barry Krischner inexplicably came up with a single count with which to file criminal charges against Epstein, that of soliciting prostitution. Kirschner offered Epstein what appeared to be an outrageous deal involving zero jail time. [more...]

The Deceptive Green Dirty Deal
By Lowell Ponte

I am the author of a best-selling book titled "The Cooling" about climate change. I have long argued that leftists use the climate issue merely to frighten and stampede people into giving government vast new amounts of taxation and power to prevent global warming. In this column, I quote two United Nations climate officials. One admits that climate policy is being used as a way to "redistribute de facto the world's wealth... international climate policy... [and] has almost nothing to do with environmental policy anymore." The other U.N. climate official admits that the real aim is a "transformation" of the global economy to "change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years."  The model the U.N. intends to get rid of is capitalism. When Conservatism Met Progressivism
By Bruce Frohnen, Author of "Coming Home: Reclaiming America's Conservative Soul"

The rise of ideology in late-nineteenth-century America presented challenges beyond those inherent in the political, economic, and cultural changes of the time. By the early twentieth century, progressivism had become a powerful force - a movement declaring that the structures and limitations of the American Constitution must be set aside so that “the people’s will” could be divined and put into action by a centralized federal government in an era of centralized national and international economic power. While conservatives entered into a complex and sustained engagement with these challenges, conservative prejudices, habits, and norms remained strong in America... [more...]

The Hopeless Never Trumper
By Daniel Greenfield

The Weld 2020 campaign site features an old photo and raw video of his campaign announcement. It’s early July and the latest update on the site is from the beginning of May. That’s incompetence as usual in the hopeless campaign by the former Massachusetts governor which is being run by his stepson. The Never Trumper competing against President Trump for the 2020 GOP nomination claimed back in March that he could “start Monday in the Oval Office.” Three months later, he barely has a website. The Democrat Who Let Epstein Get Away
By Daniel Greenfield

The Florida prosecutor who allowed Jeffrey Epstein to get away with the abuse of children is a very popular guy in Palm Beach. The YWCA of Palm Beach County offers the Barry Krischer Humanitarian Award and the Domestic Violence Council has a Barry Krischer scholarship. The Florida Bar had honored Kirscher with a lifetime achievement award and he’s still listed as a member in good standing. Even Jeb Bush had bestowed a Peace at Home award on the prosecutor. Krischer sits on the Criminal Justice Commission and offers training to law enforcement, court personnel and child welfare providers on dealing with crimes of sexual violence. His bio states that he remains active in “child welfare issues” through his work with the Department of Children and Families. The former Palm Beach County State Attorney had made national news three times during his career. Once when he went after Rush Limbaugh, then after Ann Coulter, two Republicans, and when, after being handed the case of Epstein, a co-founder of the Clinton Global Initiative, he gave him a pass. Reclaiming the Republic
By Bruce Frohnen

Are Americans too corrupt to be free? As our Constitution’s framers well knew, a republic is the most demanding form of government. If the people aren’t careful in choosing elected officials and diligent in defending basic principles of self-government, they will invite politicians to bribe them. At first, politicians will give tiny bribes that don’t stand out as corruption - offers for the government to protect people, making their lives easier, more streamlined, and more comfortable. Slowly, but predictably, we come to think of these bribes as what our government “owes” us, and we become dependent subjects of distant elites. This is the danger we came close to embracing in 2016, and it continues to grow. [more...]

John Solomon's Mueller Probe Conclusions Examined
By James Davidson, Former FBI Agent & President of ProtectTheFBI.org

The conclusions John Solomon drew from his recent interview with Oleg Deripaska, the Russian oligarch, Putin confidante, and self-described international power broker (Russian oligarch's story could spell trouble for Team Mueller, The Hill, 07/02/19) are based on a series of Deripaska claims that confirm a bias Solomon already has or that he wants his readers to adopt. The bias is that there was something materially wrong with the special counsel’s investigation, either regarding its predication, its tactics, or its judgment. Consequently, this is the lens through which Solomon views Deripaska’s “revelations.” Interestingly, Solomon treats Deripaska's information about his past dealings with the FBI in much the same way he believes the FBI treated information from Christopher Steele. Don't Buy the Democrats' 'Moderate' Alternatives to Medicare For All
By Sally Pipes, President & CEO of the Pacific Research Institute

Democrats appear to be getting skittish about Medicare for All. During the first two Democratic presidential debates at the end of last month, moderator Lester Holt of NBC News asked all 20 candidates to raise their hands if they supported abolishing private health insurance and enrolling everyone in a government-run health plan. Only four did so. And one of those four, Senator Kamala Harris, said the next day that she didn't mean to come out in favor of outlawing private coverage. But the remaining 16 candidates are no moderates. Their preference for a "public option," or government-sponsored insurance plan, would lead to the same eventual destination: single-payer health care. The only question is how long that journey would take. [more...]

Propaganda War vs. Saudi-Israeli Peace Accord
By Joseph P. Duggan

NBC and other mainstream media outlets consider it “breaking news” to pronounce day in and day out since October that Jamal Khashoggi is still dead. Alas, the incessant reporting of Khashoggi’s demise is not a running gag nor any sort of laughing matter. The man was assassinated in a grisly fashion. Recently, NBC published a news item with intense fanfare and the headline: “Khashoggi murder: U.N. report finds Saudi crown prince could be liable.” [more...]

An Unprecedented Profit Opportunity for Stock Investors
By Crista Huff

There’s a profound and interesting change unfolding in the stock market. One by one, alternative asset managers are changing their business structures from limited partnerships to corporations. A wide variety of investors have been capitalizing on these situations, and it’s not too late for you to find ways to also join this investment party. Let’s examine the major players and where they stand in the corporate conversion process. The alternative asset management industry is made up of investment companies that invest in private equity, real estate, businesses, lower-rated credit, hedge funds and other ventures outside of the typical public stock and bond realm. The industry has traditionally consisted of limited partnership business entities. [more...]
