Atheism’s Myth of a Christian Dark Ages is Unbelievable
By Michael Newton Keas

Atheist biologist Jerry Coyne once wrote, “Had there been no Christianity, if after the fall of Rome atheism had pervaded the Western world, science would have developed earlier and be far more advanced than it is now.” Did Christianity really drag the West into an anti-scientific “Dark Ages,” a period said to stretch from the fall of Rome to 1450 AD? In my new book, Unbelievable: 7 Myths About the History and Future of Science and Religion, I show why this and other anti-Christian myths crash and burn against the facts of history. [more...]

To Win the White House, Dems Will Have to Hide the Truth About Single-Payer
By Sally Pipes, President & CEO of the Pacific Research Institute

Support for Medicare for All is apparently now required to become a member in good standing in the Democratic Party. Voters shouldn't fall for progressives' empty promises of "free" care for everyone. Single-payer has led to outrageous costs and abysmal care everywhere it's been rolled out. The United States would be no exception. When told that Medicare for All would entail tax increases, voters' opposition to it jumps from 43% to 66%. [more...]

The Left is Winning the Culture War
By Karen Kataline

With someone like Tom Brokaw under fire for saying Hispanics should "work harder at assimilation" into American culture, we just learned that speaking English is now objectionable to the Left who are changing our language and our values every day. Currently, they are winning. Much of what we are fighting is socialism on steroids, but we aren’t just fighting one terrible idea after another; we are fighting a culture war where a host of terrible ideas are first promoted and eventually, demanded. This constitutes no less than the upending of traditional values and western culture. Even those who oppose the Left’s cultural ideology are being co-opted by Leftist language and messaging. But we can’t afford to cede any more ground. [more...]

The Progressive Pander to the Press
By Lowell Ponte

A sinister plot to make journalists a protected class

The State of New York should “make assaulting the press a felony,” tweeted its leftist Governor Andrew Cuomo days ago. “Journalists must be protected from the threat of physical harm” while doing their jobs. This looked like yet another shameless pander by the ambitious politician for support from a news media that almost entirely already shares his radical ideology. Gov. Cuomo’s remarks came during a week when he called for ending the death penalty but paradoxically approved a measure to let doctors kill any baby that somehow survives an abortion attempt and is born alive. But Cuomo was pursuing an even more sinister progressive scheme by making assaults on journalists a felony. It would make journalists a privileged, protected class. [more...]

Netflix Gets a Hollywood Makeover
By James Hirsen

The current corporate model of Netflix is predicated on rapid growth. However, it now looks as though Netflix will have the brakes applied as emerging competition from Hollywood causes the streaming business to go through a remake. Netflix has just turned its back on the Silicon Valley tech firms in a move that signals a seismic shift in the entertainment business. The streaming video giant pulled out of the Internet Association, which is the lobbying entity for web-based businesses, and locked arms with Silicon Valley’s nemesis, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), Hollywood’s preeminent lobbying organization. Reza Aslan Calls for Violence
By Jamie Glazov

In my latest video blog, I talk about Iranian-American author Reza Aslan calling for violence, revealing how the cannibal author has tried to instigate violence against a falsely accused high school student – and how he wants to “punch” Dinesh D’Souza’s face. I also unveil the very disturbing associations Aslan keeps and the horrid ideology - and its practices - he makes excuses for. [more...]

Bringing Trump and Pelosi Together for a Compromise
By Jeffrey Katz

The principles in my new book The Secret Life could resolve the impasse between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Trump on the government shutdown.  Not pre-judging the other and being willing to give the other the benefit of the doubt, all done in a spirit of moderation and focusing on the larger relationships within our country that are so important to maintain -  rather than continued focus on far narrower interests - could lead to a resolution between the two on this issue that is important to our entire nation. When Pelosi says she will negotiate funding for enhanced border security and barriers in good faith once government is reopened, that is something on which she could be given the benefit of the doubt by President Trump. The two might pre-agree on some amount of new barrier funding that would be part of any subsequently negotiated deal - to be fully hashed out only after the government is reopened. President Trump might lengthen the new grace period for DACA recipients from the three years now on the table, in order to further build trust between the two sides. If there could be a thaw in the current deep freeze between the two polarized sides in our society, we would all reap the benefits. [more...]

Scientists and the Myths They Cherish
By Michael Newton Keas

Do scientists believe in myths? They sure do, and they enjoy considerable success in fobbing them off on the rest of us. In textbooks, popular media, and other venues the public is regularly led astray about the supposedly adversarial relationship of science versus faith. Nobody wants to be on the losing side of that purported battle: the myth merchants play on our (and their own) egos, the wish to appear smart and enlightened. Against this emotional manipulation, I detonate six specific myths about our world and the universe, and a seventh that’s used to fill the “significance void” - the painful gap in our own understanding of humanity’s place in the cosmos - left by the other six.  Read more in my new book, Unbelievable: 7 Myths about the History and Future of Science and Religion. [more...]

Facebook and Twitter Consult with CAIR
By Jamie Glazov

Facebook and Twitter are consult with CAIR, exposing how leading social media sites are asking a Hamas-linked group who should get banned from their platforms. We have to stand up against this evil. Facebook and Twitter are now Sharia compliant. Twitter warned me that I'm violating Pakistan Islamic blasphemy laws by posting my new book. CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing case in U.S. history. [more...]

While Dems Push Government Healthcare, Canadians Wait Nearly Five Months for Treatment
By Sally Pipes, President & CEO of the Pacific Research Institute

Last year, Canadians waited a median of almost 20 weeks to receive specialist treatment after being referred by a general practitioner, according to a new report from The Fraser Institute. In practical terms, that's the equivalent of getting a referral this week and waiting until May for treatment. Such waits are endemic to government-run healthcare systems. Canada's single-payer system, which prohibits private insurance for medically necessary procedures, is a prime example of the pitfalls of total government control. Twenty weeks of waiting is bad enough. But some areas in Canada fare even worse. [more...]

The Government Shutdown - A Disruption in Stability and Safety
By Michelle Seiler-Tucker

Since December 22nd, the United States Federal Government has been laying down the groundwork for the declaration of a national emergency. While President Donald Trump continues his fight for the approval of a $5 billion wall to line the U.S./Mexico border, the national government has entered what is currently the longest shutdown in American history. As a result, many federal workers are forced to continue working, but are doing so without receiving pay, missing their paychecks starting the week of the shutdown. In addition, national security, safety, and economic prosperity all face great decline as our representatives continue to receive their promised benefits. [more...]

How Many More Media Lies Will it Take to Convince the Public that the Media Lies?

By Karen Kataline

The mainstream media has now been caught with mounds of egg on its face twice in less than a week: First, the phony Buzzfeed story spurred large swaths of activists professing to be journalists into a feeding frenzy. So delighted were they in calling for “impeachment!” after having done so without evidence, they felt vindicated in going full bore when they thought they'd “got him.”  When their Messiah Mueller disavowed the story himself in a rare news release, most “journalists” didn’t even have the decency to be humiliated.

Second is the story about the Covington Catholic boys who attended a Right to Life march in Washington, D.C. wearing MAGA hats. They were completely set up by Trump-hating, abortion-loving activists who were committed to overshadowing the message that pro-life activists had hoped to send. For some time, the Left has been employing tactics reminiscent of agents provocateur; but it’s difficult to get the word out when most people depend on media itself to give them the facts. In this case, the facts were twisted with bias and innuendo to make the boys look like the perpetrators and the perpetrators look like the victims.  How many other incidents have there been like these two in recent years? It’s hard to say, since the media thinks it should have the monopoly on telling us. [more...]

The Big Dogs of TX - 18,000 Public Employees Make $100K+ Costing Taxpayers $2.1B
By Adam Andrzejewski, Author of Operation Drain the Swamp

Who are the most highly compensated public employees in Texas municipal government? We found a who’s who of public servants who learned how to game the system for personal gain. The latest public employee salary data from fiscal year 2017 shows Texas local government needs far more scrutiny. With many Americans focused on Washington, D.C., citizens aren’t doing enough to stop taxpayer abuse in their own backyards. In Texas, 17,633 public employees working for cities, towns, and counties made $100,000 or more and cost taxpayers $2.1 billion. Almost 1,900 of these “big dogs” made more than $150,000 and out-earned Governor Greg Abbott. [more...]

Jihadis Infiltrating the Migrant Caravans
By Jamie Glazov

In light of the Democrats’ current resistance to President Trump’s effort to build a wall on our southern border, I think it's important to bring attention to the Jihadis who are perpetually making efforts to enter America through the southern border.  To be sure, there is a great cause for concern that Jihadis have infiltrated the migrant caravans that keep trying to invade our nation. Islamic State Jihadis, for example, are already known to have entered Guatemala – and, among numerous other Jihadist threats, there is considerable Hezbollah activity in Latin America, which, as experts have warned for years, poses a grave danger to the United States. [more...]

News Media are Leftist Liars
By Karen Kataline

In the most recent debacle of media malpractice, CNN and MSNBC repeatedly floated impeachment on the Buzzfeed report over 200 times. No wonder you never hear the anti-Trump media (which is most of it) go near a blockbuster story such as the phony dossier. The FBI knew it was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC; and it was used to obtain an illegal FISA warrant to surveil Trump and his associates. To watch the media tacitly ignore the biggest corruption story perhaps in our lifetimes, and scream, “impeachment! impeachment!” over yet another false report perfectly illustrates that they’ve been crying wolf from the very beginning. Except this time, they were caught very publicly. Even their minions are being forced to admit that they fouled up royally. [more...]

Gladys Knight Takes a Stand for the National Anthem
By James Hirsen

Gladys Knight earned the nickname “Empress of Soul” for good reason. The hit songs that she and her band mates, the Pips, delivered throughout the 1960s, ‘70s, and ‘80s left a unique gospel-pop imprint on the pages of American music history. It is for this and so many other reasons that Knight seems to be the perfect voice to lend dignity and beauty to professional football’s great national anthem moment at Super Bowl LIII on February 3 in Atlanta, Georgia, where the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots will battle to determine which team will ultimately secure the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy. Look for “The Star-Spangled Banner” performed by Knight to provide a graceful air of decorum to the pre-game ceremony and give an assist to a National Football League (NFL) in need of an image boost after suffering through the aftermath of some high-profile political posturing. The New Politics of Advertising
By Lowell Ponte

The logic of business used to be to avoid saying anything that might offend the customer, who is “always right.” The new advertising readily gambles with offending customers who are right, because young people who are making lifetime preferred-brand decisions hold views on the left. In other words, everything is becoming politicized, so what a company says must be political or ideological, too. This may alienate older customers, but it will win a lifetime of loyalty from young ones. To older observers, capitalist companies embracing socialist progressive ideology seems suicidal. As the founder of the late Soviet Union, Vladimir Lenin, said: “We will hang the last capitalist with a rope sold to us by a capitalist.” [more...]

Feminist Identity Politics in the New Congress and the Annual March
By Dawn Perlmutter

The women’s movement gained momentum after Justice Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings were turned into a circus by Christine Ford’s unproven allegations. "P---y hats" were traded in for "I believe her" buttons and truth was replaced with mythology. Ford became the origin of the feminist myth of 21st century, institutionalized sexism and the patron saint of alleged sexual assault. The popularity of the new Ford folk saint was used by Democrat activists as a method to demonize men, inculcate fear, promote victimhood, silence criticism, and get the vote out just in time for the midterm elections. Christine Ford’s canonization served its function, resulting in dozens of women getting elected based on identity politics and the feminist cult of victimhood. [more...]

The True Meaning of the Misguided Women's March

With tomorrow's so-called "women's march" plagued with anti-Semitism and radical Islam influences, we must ask: why are the views of radical Islam accepted by Western left-wing audiences? It's no small irony that the march was supposedly created as a protest not only against sexism but other forms of bigotry. So, why in the world would the women's march leader refer to Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan as 'the greatest of all time?'

What has happened to the West - to the values of freedom and equality for all - questioning our moral values to the point that we have come to accept the delectable lie that Islam is a religion of peace? We witness Islamic terror but choose to believe what we are told: It isn’t Islam. Islam is a religion of peace. If Islam is such a peaceful religion, why must we be reminded of it over and over again? Amazon's #1 New Release Jamie Glazov's Jihadist Psychopath answers these questions. Glazov explains this “insanity” - this desire to believe what is factually untrue. He takes us on a journey through the lens of psychology and the mental condition known as “psychopathy.” [more...]

Jihadist Psychopath tells us how Islamic Supremacism has influenced Western culture; how the Western media contributed to this Islamic influence; and why sympathy continues to grow in the West for these Islamic militants. Glazov reveals ways in which we can prevent the growing influence of Islamic Supremacism. Endorsed by Dennis Prager, John Bolton, Steven Emerson and Geert Wilders, Jamie Glazov's Jihadist Psychopath is a warning for Americans that radical Muslims are totally dedicated to the destruction of Western civilization.

Myth - A Big Universe is a Problem for Christianity
By Michael Newton Keas

Self-appointed spokesmen for science often use the enormous size of the cosmos, with its billions of galaxies, as a club to beat up on Christianity. They say people in the Western tradition had to wait for modern science to grasp that the universe was huge and had to shed historic Judeo-Christian views to do so. Not true. This is one of several anti-religious myths I dismantle in my new book, Unbelievable: 7 Myths about the History and Future of Science and Religion. [more...]

Tariffs on Chinese Goods Should Increase Despite Talks
By Michael Stumo

Trump administration officials have just returned from Beijing after two days of talks meant to resolve China’s aggressive trade and economic cheating. President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed last month in Buenos Aires to pursue negotiations regarding forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft and cyber hacking. It’s questionable, however, whether any short-term commitments will be credible or lead to real progress, since Beijing remains committed to a long-term strategy of eroding America’s economic, military and geopolitical strength. [more...]

Elizabeth Warren's Problem Isn't Sexism - It's Elizabeth Warren
By Daniel Greenfield

There's a reason no one likes her. There’s no surer sign that Warren is walking down Hillary Clinton Boulevard to the ditch of history than that a mere three days after she announced her run, her defenders are already accusing critics of sexism. Elizabeth Warren is Hillary Clinton reborn, and they’re both unlikable, because they’re both inauthentic scolds who suffer from hall monitor syndrome. They spent their entire lives breaking every rule they could find while awkwardly fantasizing about running every tiny detail of everyone else’s lives. Warren and Clinton are both unlikable because you can’t picture either one having any fun. Scolds are awkward and arrogant. They’ve spent a lifetime navigating the system, but never learned to fake plausible human emotions. They stay up nights afraid that somebody, somewhere is having fun. Likability has nothing to do with gender. We view people as likable when we think they like us. Even when we might not agree with them politically, we like to think that we could shoot the breeze. Can you picture anyone shooting the breeze with Hillary Clinton for under six figures? [more...]

Checking in on New York's (Health Care) State of Mind
By Sally Pipes, President & CEO of the Pacific Research Institute

Empire State progressives are giddy about the prospect of passing a single-payer health care bill in 2019. Every year for the past four years, the liberal State Assembly has approved the New York Health Act, which would establish a statewide single-payer plan. But the bill always died in the State Senate, where Republicans have held the majority since 2011. These Republicans united with the centrist members of the Independent Democratic Conference to oppose single-payer. It's understandable why so many New Yorkers have fallen for the siren-song of single-payer. The sales pitch is deceptively simple: When people need health care, they can just get it. No premiums, no deductibles, no copays. The government pays for the entire system out of tax revenue. [more...]
