What Really Matters?

Every aspect of life, every value, every good and decent thing that this country stands for is not only being challenged, but is being viciously attacked, and mostly by people who want things they usually don’t deserve or haven’t worked for. Take the Black Lives Matter group. Are they interested in truth and justice? For the most part, NO! As we've since found out, the U.S. Justice Department (headed up by a black attorney general and a black president) reports that "Hands up! Don't shoot!" was a lie - a false mantra - and yet the Left still supports that lie! At least a dozen black police officers have been shot and killed this year. Where were the Black Lives Matter people? Nowhere to be found... that is, with the exception of New York at a Black Lives Matter "event" rallying around the brutality of police on blacks. [more...]

Blame the Parents, Not the Schools

Parents do not parent anymore; they want to be "friends" with their kids. Thus, their children go out into the world with no understanding of discipline or accountability. The bigger issue is this: a great deal of parents do NOT have a plan or goals like previous generations. You wonder there is such apathy in this country. If the parents don't care, then neither will their kids. Old-fashioned family dinners, family discussions and family time without technology may not be the entire answer, but it's a good start. The War in Our Schools between Students, Teachers and Administrators

The recent assault of a 16-year-old black student by a white resource officer from the Richland County Sheriff's Office in Columbia, South Carolina is the end result of pitched battles raging in our schools for some time. Once upon a time, an unruly child would sit in the principal's office until a parent would come to take him or her home - expelled or suspended. The teacher and school administrator were respected and the law in the classroom. Neither the principal nor the teacher was ever questioned. Rarely was a police officer involved in an incident or even at a school in the first place. Lawsuits or other resistance was unheard of. Discipline was handled in house - usually by the principal, the vice principal, and the teacher within the education system - not law enforcement. Alongside the drama of the 2016 Presidential elections, Congress has been brewing up an equally theatrical sideshow in what is now a month-long attempt to elect a new Speaker of the House.  This internal drama comes at a crucial time in the house's legislative process.  For months, parties struggled to reach an agreement on a budget plan to avoid shutdown and only Monday, in Boehner's last week in office, did the house finally agree on a plan to avoid shutdown. Following the completion of Hillary Clinton's testimony in front of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, mainstream media outlets dutifully went out and trumpeted Clinton's carefully crafted appearance. Evidently, there was at the same time a deliberate effort to dismiss one of the most highly significant news stories and to continue with the agenda of getting the current consensus Democrat elected. Those in society who remember the importance of the First Amendment now find themselves in the unexpected position of having contempt for a media they once esteemed. The negative perspective has been precipitated in part by the intentional non-reporting of certain news stories and the purposeful shaping of select others. In a shirking of their professional responsibilities, many members of the broadcast and print professions chose to disregard pertinent facts that came to light during the hearing, including that approximately 600 requests for more security by State Department personnel in Benghazi were left unfulfilled and the number of security agents present in Benghazi at the beginning of 2012 was the same number present on the day of the attacks, even though more than nine months had elapsed. An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released earlier this week indicated 44% of Americans polled are not satisfied with Hillary’s response regarding Benghazi, while only 27% feel they are; 28% of voters felt they do not know enough about the matter. A successful effort by the committee should satisfy the 44% of voters, while also further informing the 28% who feel they do not have enough information. The Committee on Benghazi is also investigating Hillary’s personal e-mail use and if and how it factored into her management of the attack. Here, American opinion is split on the issue of "e-mailgate;" 47% of voters in the same NBC/Wall Street Journal poll feel Hillary’s personal e-mail use is a factor in her presidential run, while 44% feel it is not. Overall, Hillary’s hearing before the committee will hopefully shed more light on the incident; however, for an issue that has now drawn on longer than Watergate, America could very well witness much more debate regarding Benghazi. The Dumbing Down of America

We still teach most kids the same way we did fifty years ago. But the curriculum is NOT working because college grads are NOT getting the jobs they want; they are NOT qualified because their skills are lacking big time. If you have money, you can buy a better education but most of us have to figure it out on our own. The rising cost of college tuition is very expensive and the loans that these college kids take out require almost a lifetime to pay back. Why? Because college graduates do not make enough money in the first ten years to pay off the student loans. Plus all the BIG promises about earning more than the less educated appear to be overstated. The real work experience required to live in the world and the dumbing down of the current curriculum are not working in today’s modern society. We need a NEW learning model to compete in the world economy. Knowledge is the key to earning power and the right knowledge is the key to making money. [more...]

Netanyahu on Palestinian Muslims as Willing Jew Executioners

During a speech on Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appropriately decried the "apologetics" which have minimized the role played by ex-Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin el-Husseini, founder of the modern Palestinian Muslim movement, in fomenting genocidal Islamic Jew hatred. Netanyahu made these simple, irrefragable points, demonstrating how from the 1920s through the World War II era, the father of the Palestinians at that time, with no [Jewish] state and no so-called "occupation," no territories and no settlements, already sought, through systematic incitement, to annihilate the Jews. Regrettably, Hajj Amin el-Husseini is still a venerated figure in Palestinian society; he appears in study books and is exalted as the father of the nation, and this incitement that began then, incitement to kill Jews, continues. Hillary's Libyan Lies

Hillary Clinton has only one accomplishment - the Libyan War. Bombing Libya in support of a Muslim Brotherhood takeover was Hillary’s pet project. Obama unenthusiastically signed off on a war that he had told members of Congress "is all Secretary Clinton's matter." The Pentagon fought Hillary’s illegal war every step of the way. Both the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs opposed Hillary’s plan to bomb Libya. One of the Chairman's top aides said that he did not trust the reports coming out of the State Department and the CIA, then controlled by Clinton loyalist Leon Panetta. UN Workers Fuel the Palestinian Rampage

On the same day as Palestinians torched a site containing Joseph's Tomb in the Palestinian Authority-controlled West Bank city of Nablus, the United Nations Security Council held an "emergency" session to address the escalating violence in Jerusalem and the West Bank.  The October 16th meeting was called by Jordan, a non-permanent member of the Security Council. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has expressed his willingness to meet with the Palestinian leadership and resume peace talks immediately without preconditions, in order to bring calm to the region. The Palestinian leadership's response was to have Jordan act as their promoter-in-chief and call on the Security Council to hold the "emergency" meeting for the purpose essentially of condemning Israel and rationalizing the Palestinian violence spree. Why do pundits say Hillary won if millions of online voters say otherwise? Well, there are a few possible reasons. First, Sanders attracts a huge number of millennials. This population doesn’t yet have representation in mainstream media the same way older generations do. (Can you think of any 20-somethings running a news show?). Second, Time Warner, owner of CNN, NBC, Time, and HLN, is one of the top ten biggest donors to Hillary Clinton; generally speaking, people, and companies, donate to people they want to win. 'Frustrated' Muslims Can't Stop Killing Jews... and Everyone Else

As Jews were being butchered in the streets of Jerusalem, Secretary of State John Kerry blamed them. "There's been a massive increase in settlements over the course of the last years, and now you have this violence because there's a frustration that is growing," the nation’s greatest diplomat said. "Settlements" are Jews living in parts of Israel captured by the invading Muslim armies in 1948, from which Jews were ethnically cleansed, and then retaken and liberated by Israel in 1967. A Jew living in a part of Jerusalem from which Jews were driven out in 1948 is a "settler" who "frustrates" Muslims. That's right, folks. Too many white kids were elected to the council, and that supposedly does not accurately reflect the student population, since more than 80% are non-white. Global Warming Leftists Seek to Criminalize Criticism

Global warming advocates are seeking to use a criminal statute that was originally designed to assist in the prosecution of organized crime figures. Twenty so-called scientific experts recently signed a letter, which was sent to the Obama administration. The correspondence included a demand that individuals who hold an opposing viewpoint on the subject of global warming be investigated and prosecuted via the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

The RICO Act is a 1970 federal law, which was passed in order for law enforcement agencies to be able to make arrests, and the justice system to ultimately prosecute members of organized crime. The RICO statute includes within it potential sentences of 20 years in prison for those who are convicted.

"We strongly endorse Senator Whitehouse's call for a RICO investigation," the "scientists" wrote in the letter to the president. The writers claimed that the "methods of these organizations are quite similar to those used earlier by the tobacco industry," adding that "A RICO investigation (1999 to 2006) played an important role in stopping the tobacco industry from continuing to deceive the American people about the dangers of smoking." The politician to which the letter refers, Rhode Island Sen. Whitehouse, had penned an article, which was published in the Washington Post in May 2015, calling for those individuals and institutions deemed to be global warming deniers to be criminally prosecuted. Free College is Like Fool's Gold

The Democrat candidates all believe it's a great idea to offer free college; they spoke out at the debates against capitalism.  But free college is like fool's gold. The progressives and anti-capitalists want trophies and FREE education plus a chicken in every pot. Did FREE anything build this country? I don't think so. Our competitive capitalist culture built the best of everything.

You pay for what you get and FREE education is NOT the answer. The answer is creating an educational system that teaches kids how to make a living - how to communicate in the real world and how to work and be productive to make a profit. Better yet, teaching kids how to start and build a business venture from the ground up that will be profitable to them and society.

Who is going to pay for this FREE education the Democrat candidates are talking about? I hear the cry now - soak the rich. If it were not for the rich, how would charity work?  Look at almost any other country where FREE is part of the culture and you'll see long lines for basic services. You want FREE?  Move to those countries! [more...]
